Perseverance

How to Persevere According to Scripture

Know that you have the staying power to stay in the race. You have a purpose and inside of you resides the technique to finish. Here are three scriptures that will empower you to persevere.

Psalms 51:10 “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit in me”(NIV)

The word says that God will create in you a pure heart and a steadfast spirit. He allows you to persist without evil intent while being fully dedicated as you work towards your finish line. I encourage you to stay the course, having belief in yourself that it’s possible. Keep a positive attitude no matter what hurdles are ahead, you will finish.

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”(NIV)

As you work towards your finish line, the word says it’s possible to change how you see your situation and even yourself. Renew your mind, is to change how you’re thinking. Take control of your thoughts while avoiding the pressures of life. Don’t run your race like the majority, change your technique for the win.

Psalms 19:14 “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer.”(NIV)

In order to cross the finish line, you must speak positively. Approach the situation with confidence knowing that you’ve been given all you need for the win. God is with you every step of the way. Your strength resides in the words you confess over yourself and what you believe.

From a Spiritual Standpoint:

Persevering is outlasting the situation you’re in or facing. The word gives you instruction on how to outlast the hurdles of life. With a pure heart and a steadfast spirit, you will finish strong. Don’t give in to negativity or self-defeating thoughts – stay the course. Renew your mind and confess the word over your situation while moving forward in strength.

Let’s Pray:

Heavenly Father thank you for your word of instruction on how to persevere daily. Thank you for allowing me to overcome every hurdle in my pathway. I cast every care upon you as I cross the finish line strong.
