The Rise of the Sanders Sons: From Jackson to the NFL — Carriers of a Blazing Legacy

The rise of Shedeur and Shilo Sanders is more than a sports story—it’s a generational movement, a blueprint of excellence born from purpose, not privilege. Their story didn’t begin with college rankings or NFL projections. It started with a foundation forged by their father, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, whose legacy has become a launchpad, not a pedestal.

From humble beginnings, Coach Prime lit a trail that still blazes. That fire carried him to the pinnacle of pro sports and now burns in his sons, who embody the same dogmatic drive, resilience, and relentless focus.

Scabs vs. Scars: The Difference Between Wounded and Healed

Scabs and scars—two terms we often associate with physical wounds—hold a wealth of insight into the human experience, particularly when translated into the language of emotional and spiritual healing. Scabs are fresh, sensitive, and in process. They are a sign that something beneath the surface has been damaged and is undergoing restoration. Scars, on the other hand, are the final product of that healing—a visible mark that proves there was once pain, but also shows survival, recovery, and resilience. In our fast-paced, performance-driven world, we often fail to appreciate these distinctions in people’s lives. We treat others’ scabs like scars, assuming they’ve moved on or should be “over it” already. Worse still, we judge or try to prematurely fix the rawness of others, not realizing that the process of healing is still very much underway. In this blog, we will explore the metaphor of scabs and scars as it relates to human behavior, emotional trauma, and the spiritual journey, encouraging a more compassionate and process-minded perspective when dealing with wounded people.

Roll The Dice

Ever felt like life is a gamble—like you’re constantly rolling the dice and hoping for the best? You’re not alone. In a world full of choices, unknowns, and spiritual interference, how do you find peace in the process? The answer isn’t found in luck—it’s rooted in trust. Proverbs 16:33 “We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.” Another way of saying it is, ” The lot is cast into the lap, but it’s every decision from the Lord.” We all make decisions daily, but what happens after we make them isn’t always in our hands. This blog dives deep into the balance between your free will and God’s divine control—and how surrendering to his wisdom leads to real victory, not just chance.

Hidden Things

Recently, I was asked the following question. Describe something that you find beautiful in the world. This is how I described beauty in a world rapidly changing without permission. The perfect question allows me to express the beauty of a sunny day, the calm, quiet, and peace it brings. It’s seeing others reach for their goals, overcome obstacles, and win. It’s a warm smile to a stranger because you never know what people are facing. It’s the memories you have with family and those moments where you think of something or someone, and the smile is instant. It’s knowing who you are and being ok with it. It’s the freedom to dream and know it’s possible. Every day, you wake up with the opportunity to try again. Beauty, in a world that’s rapidly changing without permission, becomes less about symmetry and perfection, and more about resilience, presence, and truth. It is no longer confined to fixed ideals or static definitions; instead, it emerges from the ability to adapt, to remain authentic, and to find grace amid disruption. In such a world, beauty is the silent defiance of the human spirit against the chaos of constant acceleration. It is the quiet dignity of cultures preserving their essence while evolving. It’s the brilliance of minds reimagining tomorrow, not from comfort but uncertainty. Beauty becomes the raw, unpolished moment when a person chooses compassion over convenience, or when creativity blooms in scarcity. Ultimately, in a world where change does not ask for permission, beauty is found not in control, but in coherence when something or someone, however transient, feels wholly true in that fleeting instant. However brief, that truth holds the power to ground us.

Who’s Speaking

Your words are a tree of life and your words carry power; out of the heart, the mouth speaks; revealing what the heart is full of. Life happens, and being a believer has its own battles but what is being spoken determines the outcome. Words are like seeds of sweet fruit, discard them in soil and they will reproduce that of its kind.
