Have You Forgiven Them?

When You Forgive Others Your Heavenly Father Also Forgives You

The word tells us that we should always forgive others of their offense so that our Heavenly Father forgives us. He is merciful towards us in times when we fall short. If we confess and repent wholeheartedly he is faithful in forgiving. The only thing that will stop his forgiveness towards us is our failure to forgive. Forgive, let go and receive. Matthew 6:14-15

Forgiving Allows You to Release Offense

Releasing what someone has done to us is healthy and beneficial. It releases stress and allows peace of mind. We may forgive and forgiving doesn’t mean we will forget. However, you’re opening up the doors for your Heavenly Father to forgive you and release blessings. Don’t hold a grudge, see it for what it is, learn the lesson and move on. Holding on to what someone else has done gives them power over us. Let’s be free today of every offense. Ephesians 4:31-32

Your Prayers are Unhindered When You Forgive

Pray to allow your prayers to be effective by forgiving others. Don’t hinder your prayers, don’t block your blessing. Forgive and pray for those who’ve offended you. We are overcomers and we are strong and wise enough to forgive. Let’s be in right standing with God. The word says to pray for one another. James 5:16

From a Spiritual Standpoint: It’s important that we stay grounded in the word. We know that offense will come intentionally or unintentional by word, thought or deed. We can’t control others but we can control how we respond. So we can’t allow an offense to take root in our lives. The word says forgive so we will be forgiven, and lay aside every weight. Let’s not block our blessings, or hinder our prayers. Greater is he that is in us than he that’s in the world.

Let’s Pray: Heavenly Father I pray that you will give us the strength and courage to recognize the offense and forgive. I pray we will be set free from every offense. Give us the grace to release so that we may receive your forgiveness. May we edify others in love. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
