Are you Facing Giants in Your Life?
Along the journey of life we at times face situations that seem bigger than us. What is that giant standing in your way? That one thing that seem bigger, stronger or more powerful than you. Is it a specific circumstance, person, place, mental or physical giant?
Magnified Based on Perception
In life some situations can seem like a giant based on how you view it. Your perception of it determines the size of what you’re looking at. Whenever things seem bigger than what they are, make an adjustment so you can see things clearly. There is a man in the bible who saw people that looked like trees; but when Jesus put his hands over his eyes he was able to see true form. Invite Jesus into your situation and allow him to restore your sight and remove your giant. Mark 8:24-26
Measure of Faith
When facing a situation it’s important to seek the word of God to find out what’s said concerning you. It’s also beneficial to know your measure of faith. God has assigned each of you a measure of faith according to the word. Faith has a huge impact on those situations you see as giants. The prayer of faith can minimize how you view things and change your decisions, save you energy, and adjust your attitude. Romans 12:3
What is your Giant?
In order to defeat the giant, you must face it. See it for what it is, and ask yourself why does it seem so much bigger than you. Why does the situation seem so intimidating? Is your perception off? There was a Philistine in the bible that the Israelite’s saw as a giant, and they fled when they saw him in fear. When David who defeated this giant saw him, his perception was different and the situation was less intimidating. When David invited the Lord into the battle, victory was won. 1 Samuel 17:23-50
From a Spiritual Standpoint:
Things always seem bigger than what they really are. The word encourages you not to walk in fear. Seek God in prayer, apply the word to every situation and walk in the measure of the faith he gave you. Trust that God will see you through.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father help us to identify those areas in our lives that we’ve allowed to overwhelm us. We invite you into our situation and ask that you change our perception and restore our sight. Give us the wisdom to face it and walk away in victory.
